*70 persons with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, deafblind, cerebral palsy, learning disability, psychiatric disability, traumatic brain injury in mainstream companies.

The job roles include office admin, café management, car washing, Editorial data specialist, Associate technical specialist & project coordinator. Sectors: BFSI, F&B, Hospitality, Retail, Manufacturing, IT & Digitization, ITES, Mass Media, Banking Service sector and Non-Profit.

Anita had concerns about how she will be able to support her daughters with her low income. Her elder daughter Bhuvaneshwari is a person with intellectual disability. She had no idea about what the future holds for her. As part of Parents’ Capacity Building in Mission1000, she went for Exposure Visits to various companies along with her daughter. There she saw various possibilities of livelihoods. With training and internship, Bhuvaneshwari finally got a job at a cafe. Today, Anita is proud and happy that Bhuvaneshwari is working and even supporting her sister’s education along with providing for the family. She is confident that her daughter will have a career growth and lead a dignified and independent life

Arvind joined Pragati towards Livelihood, the vocational skill training unit of BGCT in 2017, and acquired skills in several domains. Through Mission 1000, Arvind interned as a pantry executive in Café Coffee Day Pantry in 2018. Following this, he got exposure in various domains trained in employability skills through Mission1000 Skill Development Program in 2019, culminating in an internship opportunity at ANZ Bank cafeteria. Through Mission1000, in 2020 he was selected for an internship with Thomson Reuters where he is exploring new areas of work and putting his Digital skills to use. These multiple opportunities have given Arvind the skills to work on the challenges at any workplace. Soon enough, the internship was converted into employment. Today Arvind is working in as an employee in Thomson Reuters.

"Mission1000 has allowed me to exercise my beliefs on inclusion. Being a part of the collective, I was able to see the possibilities for our trainees. It has given him a platform to network, share and grow; giving true meaning to collaboration and partnerships
